He returned in distress to Dilv&#257l&#299 Mohall&#257 where Sikhs from the neighbourhood assembled in the house of Bh&#257&#299 N&#257n&#363, the calico-printer, to consider how they could recover the Gur&#363's body and cremate it. They decided to seek assistance from Bh&#257&#299 Lakkh&#299 Sh&#257h, an affluent trader and a Sikh by faith. Later in the evening Bh&#257&#299 &#362d&#257 assisted Bh&#257&#299 Lakkh&#299 Sh&#257h in recovering and cremating the headless body of Gur&#363 Te<u>gh</u> Bah&#257dur, and then hurried towards Anandpur wither Bh&#257&#299 Jait&#257, carrying the Gur&#363's head, had already repaired. He overtook the latter at K&#299ratpur and along with Bh&#257&#299 Jait&#257 received Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh's blessing.
