The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is in Sirmur district of Him&#257chal Pradesh, but the nearest village &#7788o&#7789&#257, about one kilometre to the southeast, is in Amb&#257l&#257 district of Hary&#257&#7751&#257. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is a modest flat-roofed room, with an all-round verandah. An improvised hut near by serves as the residence of a lone Niha&#7749g who looks after the shrine. There is an old well here which, according to an inscription, was dug in 1823 "in memory of Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Ra&#7751j&#299t Si&#7749gh and Naw&#257b Fateh Si&#7749gh Ahl&#363w&#257l&#299&#257." According to another slab (inscribed only in 1968), Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh came here with 2200 horsemen on 4 Bais&#257kh 1742 Bk/ 1 April 1685 to help R&#257j&#257 Medin&#299 Prak&#257sh of N&#257han.
