His first employment was in Pesh&#257war under D&#299w&#257n Kirp&#257 R&#257m. He was sent in the following year to K&#257&#7749g&#7771&#257, with civil and military authority, to collect the revenues, and in 1832 was tranferred to F&#299rozpur. T&#257r&#257 Chand was afterwards made D&#299w&#257n and placed incharge of Bann&#363, &#7788o&#7749k and &#7692er&#257 Ism&#257&#299l <u>Kh</u>&#257n, but was unsuccessful in controlling the turbulent inhabitants there.
