Lying 2.5 km to the west of the village, there used to be, in the time of the Gur&#363s, only a copse of &#7789&#257hl&#299 trees (Albergia sissoo) and a pool of water where Gur&#363 Tegh Bah&#257dur often came from Mau&#7771 Kal&#257&#7749 while out for his afternoon ride. Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh visited the place once from Talva&#7751&#7693&#299 S&#257bo during chase. The memorials raised in honour of the Gur&#363s were later enclosed in what came to be known as Gurdw&#257r&#257 &#7788&#257hl&#257 S&#257hib, which also lends its name to the small habitation which has since grown beside it. The square domed room in the middle of the brickpaved walled compound of the Gurdw&#257r&#257 is called Mañj&#299 S&#257hib in which a few old weapons are on display. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by the local sa&#7749gat.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Fauj&#257 Si&#7749gh, Gur&#363 Teg Bah&#257dur : Y&#257tr&#257 Asth&#257n, Parampar&#257v&#257&#7749 te Yad Chinh.
