<p class="C1">&#65279&#7788AHILPUR&#256, a small village in the interior of Fatehga&#7771h S&#257hib district was visited by Gur&#363 Te<u>gh</u> Bah&#257dur in the course of one of his journeys through the M&#257lv&#257 region. A small raised platform marked the spot where he had put up. Later some Nirmal&#257 sadhus established a place of worship and installed the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib. Afterwards, Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Karam Si&#7749gh of Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257 (1798-1845) had a Mañj&#299 S&#257hib constructed here which still exists. At the back of the Mañ&#775j&#299 S&#257hib there is an old <i>p&#299pal</i> tree which is believed to have existed since the time of Gur&#363 Te<u>gh</u> Bah&#257dur's visit. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is maintained by the village <i>sa&#7749gat</i>.</p>
