He took the part of the hill chieftains and Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh in the battle of Nadau&#7751 fought on 20 March 1691 against the Mu<u>gh</u>al commander, Alif <u>Kh</u>&#257n. According to Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh's <i>Bachitra N&#257&#7789ak</i>. "Sukhdev, intrepid warrior, the r&#257j&#257 of Jasro&#7789&#257, burst into action raging and carrying all before him."</p>
