S&#257hib Si&#7749gh, who is the author of some twenty books, was the court poet in the princely state of J&#299nd and was held in esteem for his poetic and scholarly accomplishment by the rulers of Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257 and N&#257bh&#257 states as well. <i>Sr&#299 Guru Dasam Pañch&#257sik&#257</i>, completed around 1919 Bk/AD 1862, has not yet been published. Its only known manuscript is preserved in the Mot&#299b&#257<u>gh</u> Palace, Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257, under MS. No. 148. It comprises 29 folios, each folio having 7+7 lines. The work concludes with the poet's prayer to Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh, the tenth Gur&#363 or prophet-mentor of the Sikhs, to free him from the cycle of transmigration.</p> </ol><p class="CONT">Dharam Si&#7749gh<br></p><BR> </font><img src="counter.aspx" width="1px" height="1px" alt=""></HTML></BODY>
