Sohan Lal kept circulating stories about the arrival of foreign troops --Russian, Turk and Af<u>gh</u>&#257n-- to have Duleep Si&#7749gh installed as Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 of the Punjab. In September 1887, Sohan L&#257l was arrested by the British.
