He and his wife, Ban&#257ras&#299, lived in a village called Pa&#7789&#7789hevi&#7751&#7693, now the site of Gurdw&#257r&#257 &#7692er&#257 S&#257hib, 10 km east of Naushahr&#257 Pann&#363&#257&#7749 in present-day Amritsar district of the Punjab. Two sons, K&#257l&#363 and L&#257l&#363, were born to them -- the former in 1440 and the latter in 1444. The elder, B&#257b&#257 K&#257l&#363, variously mentioned by chroniclers as Mahit&#257 K&#257l&#363, Kali&#257&#7751 R&#257i, K&#257l&#363 R&#257i, K&#257l&#363 Chand or Kali&#257&#7751 Chand, was the father of Gur&#363 N&#257nak.
