<p class="C1">&#65279S&#256VAL SI&#7748GH, a Randh&#257v&#257 Ja&#7789&#7789, received the vows of the <u>Kh</u>&#257ls&#257 about 1750 and joined the Bha&#7749g&#299 <i>misl</i>. He fought for his chief Har&#299 Si&#7749gh in several of his campaigns. Within a few years he came to possess a large tract of country on the left bank of the R&#257v&#299, including Ajn&#257l&#257 and Chami&#257r&#299. S&#257val Si&#7749gh was killed in a battle leaving no issue.</p>
