The shrine, called Gurdw&#257r&#257 &#7692a&#7751&#7693&#257 S&#257hib Sr&#299 Gur&#363 Har R&#257i S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 VII, marks the site, about 300 metres to the west of the old village, where the Gur&#363 is believed to have stopped awhile to meet the waiting sa&#7749gat. According to local tradition, the Gur&#363 stuck his walking staff (&#7692a&#7751&#7693&#257, in Punjabi, hence the name of the Gurdw&#257r&#257) in the soft soil which later sprouted into a tree. The dried trunk of the tree stands inside a square hall which has in its middle the sanctum. The present building was constructed during the 1960's replacing the small old domed mañj&#299 s&#257hib. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by the village sa&#7749gat.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Narotam, T&#257r&#257 Si&#7749gh, Sr&#299 Guru T&#299rath Sa&#7749grahi.
