<p class="C1">&#65279S&#256HIB SI&#7748GH &#298S&#256PUR&#298&#256 (b.1805), son of R&#257m Si&#7749gh Randh&#257v&#257, belonged to the &#298s&#257pur branch of the Randh&#257v&#257 family founded by his great-grandfather, Dasaundh&#257 Si&#7749gh. At the time of his father's death in 1836, he was serving under R&#257j&#257 Suchet Si&#7749gh &#7692ogr&#257. He participated in many of Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Ra&#7751j&#299t Si&#7749gh's campaigns of conquest. He was present when Mult&#257n was conquered in 1818 and also joined the expedition to Kashm&#299r the following year. He served under Prince Kha&#7771ak Si&#7749gh and R&#257j&#257 Suchet Si&#7749gh at Manker&#257, Bann&#363 and &#7692er&#257j&#257t He survived long after the occupation of the Punjab by the British and resided at &#298s&#257pur.</p>
