He is said to have stayed here at the Old N&#257nak Sh&#257h&#299 Sa&#7749gat, commemorating Gur&#363 N&#257nak&#8217s visit in the early sixteenth century. The Sa&#7749gat still exists. The Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib was installed here in a hut with a sloping roof of baked tiles till 1938, when the present room was constructed by a M&#257rv&#257&#7771&#299 businessman La&#7789&#7789&#363 Mall. An old hand-written copy of the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib and several breviaries containing the sacred hymns are preserved in this room. The shrine is managed by hereditary priests. However, Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib is stacked away in an almirah and Sikh worship is no longer observed.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

Fauj&#257 Si&#7749gh Gur&#363 Teg Bah&#257dur : Y&#257tr&#257 Asth&#257n, Parampar&#257v&#257&#7749 te Y&#257d Chinh.
