The shrine is called Damdam&#257 S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 VI, and is located in a walled shady grove half a kilometre north of the village. As tradition has it, an old woman from the neighbouring village of D&#257kh&#257 came to Gur&#363 Hargobind, as he was in camp here, with an offering of coarse bread made of mixed flour of wheat and gram. The Gur&#363, impressed with the devotion of the simple lady, ate it with relish. The present building of the Gurdw&#257r&#257, a domed sanctum and a rectangular hall, was constructed in 1936 by Sant Ajaib Si&#7749gh of Bop&#257r&#257i. A sarovar was dug in 1972, and the Gur&#363 k&#257 La&#7749gar and a residential block were added in 1977. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by Niha&#7749g Sikhs of the Buddh&#257 Dal. Devotees from the surrounding villages gather in large numbers for the monthly d&#299v&#257n and community meal on the first of every Bikram&#299 month.

Major Gurmukh Si&#7749gh (Retd.)
