A text which has either the signature or stamp of the Gur&#363s or came into vogue in their time is considered authentic. The entire Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib as well as the <i>Dasam Granth</i> is authentic, but <i>Nas&#299hat N&#257mah</i>, attributed to Gur&#363 N&#257nak, and <i>Prem Sum&#257rag</i> to Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh are pronounced apocryphal works.
