He alighted under a <i>sh&#299sham</i> tree (<i>Dalbergia sissoo, &#7789&#257hl&#299</i> in Punjabi), about 250 metres north of the village. The shrine later established came to be known as Gurdw&#257r&#257 &#7788&#257hl&#299 S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 Chhev&#299&#7749. A <i>sh&#299sham</i> tree and an old well in the Gurdw&#257r&#257 compound are believed to have existed since the time of Gur&#363 Hargobind's visit. The present buildings came up gradually. To the two small rooms built in 1914, a larger hall was added in 1940. In 1978 the local <i>sa&#7749gat</i> handed over the management of the Gurdw&#257r&#257 to B&#257b&#257 Nih&#257l Si&#7749gh Har&#299&#257&#7749 Vel&#257&#7749v&#257le, a leader of Taru&#7751&#257 Dal of Niha&#7749gs.
