Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh, travelling from Lamm&#257&#7749 Ja&#7789pur&#257 towards D&#299n&#257 K&#257&#7749ga&#7771 in December 1705, made a brief halt here under a <i>p&#299pal</i> tree which still exists at the back of the <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i>. The present <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> building grew around a Mañj&#299 S&#257hib, a small domed room, constructed in 1923. A rectangular hall and a verandah on three sides of it, with a vaulted roof, were added later. An imposing new double-storeyed building as the gateway to the <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> has been recently constructed.
