Manohar D&#257s won especially the respect of the rulers of the Ph&#363lk&#299&#257&#7749 states of Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257, N&#257bh&#257 and J&#299nd. Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Karam Si&#7749gh of Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257 (1798-1845) once made to him a donation of 1,00,000 rupees which sum he spent on constructing a bridge over a turbulent seasonal stream on the outskirts of the town and raising buildings for the Chho&#7789&#257 Akkh&#257&#7771&#257 at Kankhal. He established two Ud&#257s&#299, <i>&#7693er&#257s</i> or monasteries, one at Pa&#7789i&#257l&#257, in the vicinity of Qil&#257 Mub&#257rak, and the other at Pa&#7789&#7789&#299, in Amritsar district.
