<p class="C1">&#65279M&#256&#298&#256, BH&#256&#298, a Lamb Khatr&#299 of Suhand, identified as Sirhind by Bh&#257&#299 K&#257hn Si&#7749gh, <i>Gurushabad Ratn&#257kar Mah&#257n Kosh</i>, was a devotee of Gur&#363 Hargobind. He regularly participated in the <i>sa&#7749gat</i> and sang the holy hymns. According to Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh, <i>Sikh&#257&#7749 d&#299 Bhagat M&#257l&#257</i>, he once asked the Gur&#363, "There are some who perform <i>k&#299rtan</i> as a means to earn their living while there are others who earn their living through hard labour, share their victuals with others and also attend the holy assembly and recite hymns to please the Gur&#363. Pray enlighten us regarding their respective merit." Gur&#363 Hargobind replied, "All who sing God's praise are blest, but those who do so without desire for reward attain Divine Bliss."</p>
