<p class="C1">&#65279MAHRO&#7748, village 7 km southeast of Mog&#257 (30º-48'N, 75º-10'E) in Mog&#257 district, has a historical shrine, Gurdw&#257r&#257 Gur&#363 Sar, in memory of Gur&#363 Hargobind who, according  to the local tradition, stopped here on 18 S&#257van 1674 Bk/17 July 1617 on his way from K&#257o&#7749ke and Maddoke to &#7693araul&#299. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 stands on the bank of a pond to the north of the village. It is a new building, a small square domed room, raised in 1931, replacing the old shrine. Additions in the form of a hall with some ancillary buildings were made in 1962. A pavilion has since been constructed for larger assemblies. The Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib is now placed not in the older building but in the hall, on a masonry platform. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak  Committee through a village committee. Special <i>d&#299v&#257ns</i> and community meals are held on every <i>am&#257vasy&#257</i> &#8212 the last day of the dark half of the lunar month.</p>
