According to local tradition, the Gur&#363 was treated here by a Muhammadan surgeon for a purulent growth (p&#257k&#257, in Punjabi) on one of his fingers. Hence the name of the Gurdw&#257r&#257, situated one kilometre southeast of the village. The old building raised on the site in 1930 by an Ud&#257s&#299 priest, Ro&#7693&#363 R&#257m, was replaced by a new one in 1973. Standing within a one-acre walled compound, it comprises a mosaic-floored, high ceilinged assembly hall, with the sanctum at the far end. The Gur&#363 k&#257 La&#7749gar is on the left of the hall as one enters the compound. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak Committee.

        BIBLIOGRAPHY&#8217

        Gi&#257n Si&#7749gh, Gi&#257n&#299, Tw&#257r&#299kh Gurdu&#257ri&#257&#7749.
