The Gurdw&#257r&#257 commemorates the visit of Gur&#363 Har R&#257i who came and stayed here in a mango grove belonging to a devotee, Bh&#257&#299 Kak&#7771&#363. A tree believed to be the one under which the Gur&#363 sat is still known as Gur&#363 k&#257 Amb (Mango) or Kak&#7771&#363 k&#257 Amb.</p> <p class="C1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The present <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> was raised in 1960 by Sant &#298shar Si&#7749gh in whose memory, too, there is a <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> just outside the village. The main <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> is a double-storeyed domed structure within an enclosed compound. The hall on the ground floor has the <i>prak&#257sh asth&#257n</i> in the centre. There are separate rooms for Gur&#363 k&#257 La&#7749gar. Another large building near by which belongs to the <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> is the local <u>Kh</u>&#257ls&#257 high school.</p> <p class="C1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> is administered by the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak Committee through a local committee.
