He took part in the operation against R&#257j&#257 Gul&#257b Si&#7749gh of Jamm&#363 launched by the Lahore Darb&#257r troops in February 1845. During the first Anglo-Sikh war, L&#257l Si&#7749gh Mor&#257&#7749v&#257l&#257 saw action in the battle of 'Al&#299v&#257l (28 January 1846) under the command of Ra&#7751jodh Si&#7749gh Maj&#299&#7789h&#299&#257. In 1848, he was appointed chief justice of the Sindh S&#257gar Do&#257b. During the Haz&#257r&#257 revolt of 1848 he showed sympathies with Chatar Si&#7749gh A&#7789&#257r&#299v&#257l&#257, occupied Waz&#299r&#257b&#257d, joined R&#257j&#257 Sher Si&#7749gh along with his troops and fought against the British.
