<p class="C1">&#65279LAKKH&#298 MALL, D&#298W&#256N (d. 1844), an official of the Lahore Government in the Indus territories, which included &#7692er&#257 Ism&#257'&#299l <u>Kh</u>&#257n, annexed by Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Ra&#7751j&#299t Si&#7749gh in 1836. Lakkh&#299 Mall's charge also included Bann&#363 which the Sikhs had occupied in 1825. In January 1844 D&#299w&#257n Lakkh&#299 Mall led an expedition against Fateh <u>Kh</u>&#257n &#7788iw&#257&#7751&#257, an important chief in the neighbourhood of Bann&#363-&#7788o&#7749k region. He captured &#7788o&#7749k from where Fateh <u>Kh</u>&#257n &#7788iw&#257n&#257 had fled.</p>
<p class="C1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Lakkh&#299 Mall died in March 1844 and was succeeded by his son D&#299w&#257n Daulat R&#257i.</p>
