Kusal D&#257s composed 653 verses in <i>Kabitt</i> and <i>savaiyy&#257</i> forms, panegyrizing the preceptors of the M&#299&#7751&#257 sect founded by B&#257b&#257 Prith&#299 Chand. Among the preceptors were counted the Gur&#363s --- Gur&#363 N&#257nak to Gur&#363 Arjan --- as well. Kusal D&#257s completed the panegyric in 1816. Besides, he also wrote three <i>b&#257r&#257m&#257h&#257s</i> and six <i>v&#257rs</i>, mostly on mythological themes.
