He received his name from the province of Kashm&#299r falling to the Mah&#257r&#257j&#257's arms at his birth. Kashm&#299r&#257 Si&#7749gh held charge of several <i>j&#257g&#299rs</i> including that of Si&#257lko&#7789. He emerged from obscurity after the assassination of Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Sher Si&#7749gh in 1843, but fell victim to the &#7692ogr&#257 intrigue and was killed, along with B&#257b&#257 B&#299r Si&#7749gh of Naura&#7749g&#257b&#257d, in the latter's, <i>&#7693er&#257</i> on 7 May 1844, in a seige laid by the army sent by R&#257j&#257 H&#299r&#257 Si&#7749gh.
