Karam Si&#7749gh's father T&#257r&#257 Si&#7749gh with a group of horsemen, most of whom belonged to his own caste, captured a number of villages in Amritsar district about the middle of the eighteenth century. Karam Si&#7749gh joined the Bha&#7749g&#299 chiefship, and obtained <i>j&#257g&#299rs</i> in Lahore, Si&#257lko&#7789 and Amritsar districts. He reconstructed his ancestral village, M&#257na&#7749v&#257l&#257. Karam Si&#7749gh's two sons, R&#257m Si&#7749gh and Sh&#257m Si&#7749gh, succeeded him but they severed their connections with the Bha&#7749g&#299 <i>misl</i> about the year 1780 and joined Mah&#257&#7749 Si&#7749gh Sukkarchakk&#299&#257.
