He is said to have remained steadfast in his devotion to the Gur&#363 and his troops fought on his side in the battle of Bha&#7749g&#257&#7751&#299 (1688), whereas most of his other companions had deserted him and crossed over to the hill r&#257j&#257s. Unlike some other participants in the battle of Bha&#7749g&#257&#7751&#299, K&#257le <u>Kh</u>&#257n is not mentioned in Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh's <i>Bachitra N&#257&#7789ak</i>.</p>
