<p class="C1">&#65279K&#256HN SI&#7748GH BHIKKH&#298V&#298&#7750&#7692&#298&#256, from his native village Bhikkh&#299v&#299&#7751&#7693, in present-day Amritsar district of the Punjab. He was with Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh during the second Anglo-Sikh war. After the war he, like Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh, escaped to the Jamm&#363 hills. He played an important role in establishing contact with R&#257m D&#257s, a &#7692ogr&#257 official of Jamm&#363, with whose help it was planned to capture the Fort of R&#257mnagar belonging to the widow of R&#257j&#257 Suchet Si&#7749gh. But the plan leaked out and R&#257m D&#257s was arrested by state authorities. Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh and his Sikhs were also expelled from the state. On re-entering the Punjab, K&#257hn Si&#7749gh was deputed to Amritsar to make preparation for another uprising. The government declared K&#257hn Si&#7749gh a proclaimed offender with a reward of Rs 300 on his head.</p>
