He remained there for nine years when he was recalled and placed under General Har&#299 Si&#7749gh Nalv&#257. K&#257hn Si&#7749gh accompanied Har&#299 Si&#7749gh on his numerous expeditions. He fought in the campaign against the Y&#363safza&#299 tribes on the northwest frontier in 1831. In 1834, he accompanied General M&#299h&#257&#7749 Si&#7749gh, the newly appointed governor of Kashm&#299r. K&#257hn Si&#7749gh returned after three years to Lahore with a considerable fortune. His son, Lahi&#7751&#257 Si&#7749gh, married the daughter of his old commander Har&#299 Si&#7749gh Nalv&#257, who took his son-in-law with him to Pesh&#257war in the campaign of 1837 in which the great general was killed.
