From Muktsar onwards, she constantly remained in the train of Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh's followers and travelled with them to the Deccan. After the Gur&#363's passing away at N&#257nde&#7693, M&#257&#299 Bh&#257go retired further south. She settled down at Jinw&#257&#7693&#257, the seat of two chieftains, B&#257l&#257 R&#257o and Rustam R&#257o, whose release from captivity at Sat&#257r&#257 is attributed to a miraculous intervention by Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh. She lived to attain a ripe old age. Her hut was just outside the walls of the village fortress. The fortress is now nothing but a ruined enclosure of hewn stones, but M&#257&#299 Bh&#257go's hut is still extant. The Sikhs took it over from one Gul&#257b R&#257o, in 1948, when they secured possession of N&#257nak Jh&#299r&#257. The hut is now a single flat-roofed room, with a verandah in the front. The Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib is seated in the centre and is attended by a granth&#299 supplied by Gurdw&#257r&#257 Sr&#299 N&#257nak Jh&#299r&#257, Bidar. Plans are afoot to raise a new building. As an inaugural measure, a 16-metre high Sikh flag, donated by Takht Sachkha&#7751&#7693 Sr&#299 Haz&#363r S&#257hib, N&#257nde&#7693, was unfurled ceremoniously on 26 November 1977.

Major Gurmukh Si&#7749gh (Retd.)
