He took part in <i>sev&#257</i> for the excavation of the sacred pool at Amritsar and the construction of the Harimandar. He was one of the five Sikhs who accompanied Gur&#363 Arjan on his last journey to Lahore where he met a martyr's death in 1606. His other four companions were Bh&#257&#299 Bidh&#299 Chand, Bh&#257&#299 La&#7749g&#257h, Bh&#257&#299 Pai&#7771&#257 and Bh&#257&#299 P&#299r&#257&#7751&#257. These Sikhs were witness to the events leading to the Gur&#363's martyrdom. They cremated his body and returned to Amritsar to relate to Gur&#363 Hargobind and the Sikhs what had happened. Bh&#257&#299 Je&#7789h&#257 and the other four received training in the fighting skills and were appointed by Gur&#363 Hargobind to lead a troop of one hundred horsemen each. He accompanied the Gur&#363 to Delhi and was in attendance upon him during his detention in the Fort of Gw&#257l&#299or. He took part in battles against the imperial troops, and fell fighting at Mehr&#257j on 16 December 1634.
