The family later shifted to Sh&#257hko&#7789, a small town in Shei<u>kh</u>&#363pur&#257 district in the newly developed Lower <i>Chen&#257b</i> Canal Colony where he earned a modest income as a draper-cum-tailor. As the movement for Gurdw&#257r&#257 reform was picking up momentum towards the end of the second decade of the 20th century, he turned an Ak&#257l&#299 and took part in the liberation of Gurdw&#257r&#257 B&#257be d&#299 Ber on 4-5 October 1920. He was also present on the occasion of the occupation of Sr&#299 Ak&#257l Ta<u>kh</u>t by the Panth on 12 October 1920, and later participated in the liberation of Gurdw&#257r&#257 Khar&#257 Saud&#257 and the one at Gojr&#257. He joined Bh&#257&#299 Lachhma&#7751 Si&#7749gh Dh&#257rov&#257l&#299's column to have the Gurdw&#257r&#257 Janam Asth&#257n released. He fell a victim to a bullet shot on 20 February 1921.</p> <p class="C1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Bh&#257&#299 Indar Si&#7749gh was survived by his mother, wife and two minor sons.
