Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh is said to have come here as a child from Lakhnaur in 1670, and Gur&#363 Te<u>gh</u> Bah&#257dur during his tour of the M&#257lv&#257 in 1672-74. According to local tradition, two Muslim Shai<u>kh</u>s, Azmat and B&#257hr&#257, served the Gur&#363s with devotion and were rewarded with special letters of appreciation. A small domed <i>gurdw&#257r&#257</i> was constructed by the local <i>sa&#7749gat</i> in 1918. This is now enclosed in a high-roofed rectangular hall.
