A deep pool of water to the north of the village was an ancient place of pilgrimage known as Ba&#7693 T&#299rath. Gur&#363 N&#257nak had visited it during his travels in the region. So did Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh in 1706 soon after the battle of Muktsar.Gurdw&#257r&#257 Charan P&#257k P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 I on the bank of the Ba&#7693 T&#299rath was established in 1876. The present building was constructed in February March 1947 when the pool was also lined. The Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib is seated on a platform at the far end of a flat-roofed rectangular hall. The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is affiliated to the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak Committee. There are very few Sikh families in Har&#299pur&#257 itself, but Sikh and non-Sikh devotees from the surrounding villages gather on every new moon to have a d&#299p in the sacred pool and hold a d&#299v&#257n. Larger gatherings take place on the new-moon day in Ph&#257gun (January -February) and on the full-moon day of Kattak to mark the birth anniversary of Gur&#363 N&#257nak.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

T&#257r&#257 Si&#7749gh, Sr&#299 Gur T&#299rath Sa&#7749grahi.
