He joined Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh after the first Anglo-Sikh war and helped him in his campaign in the M&#257jh&#257 region against the British. He was with Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh throughout the second Sikh war.
