Subsequent to the evacuation of Anandpur in 1705, Gurba<u>kh</u>sh Si&#7749gh remained in the service of M&#257t&#257 Sundar&#299 and M&#257t&#257 S&#257hib Dev&#257&#7749 at Delhi. After the <i>j&#257g&#299r</i> or estate of Gur&#363 Chakk, i.e. Amritsar, was restored to M&#257t&#257 Sundar&#299 by Emperor Bah&#257dur Sh&#257h in 1711, she sent him to Amritsar along with Kirp&#257l Si&#7749gh Subhikkh&#299 as <i>d&#257ro<u>gh</u>ah</i> or manager.
