He was among the five Sikhs sent along with Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh to Amritsar in 1700 to manage the shrines there. In the days of severe persecution by the Mu<u>gh</u>al authority, Bh&#257&#299 Gulz&#257r Si&#7749gh was skinned to death at Lahore at the same time as Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh was hacked to pieces (1737).
