<p class="C1">&#65279GUL&#256B SI&#7748GH, a <i>j&#257g&#299rd&#257r</i> of Talva&#7751&#7693&#299 in Hoshi&#257rpur district of the Punjab, who joined, at the village of Zah&#363r&#257, Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh, the leader of the rebellion of 1848-49. At Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh's behest, he wrote an appeal to the Sikhs of M&#257lv&#257 region of the Punjab to join the revolt. He also roamed with him the Do&#257b&#257 area exhorting the people to be prepared to rise at the leader's call.</p>
