<p class="C1">&#65279GA&#7770&#298AL, BH&#256&#298, and Bh&#257&#299 Mathur&#257 D&#257s, two poor Sikhs of &#256gr&#257, earned their meagre living as porters carrying heavy loads. Yet they, joyfully extended hospitality and assistance to needy Sikhs. They had instructed the members of their families that, even if they were not present, any Sikh visiting their house must be well looked after. The news of their sincerity and devotion reached Gur&#363 Arjan, who expressed a desire to see them. Bh&#257&#299 Ga&#7771&#299al and Bh&#257&#299 Mathur&#257 D&#257s visited Amritsar and received much praise and blessing from the Gur&#363 (<i>V&#257r&#257&#7749</i>, XI. 27) .</p>
