The shrine raised in his honour is named Gurdw&#257r&#257 Thamm S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 VI after a wooden column (thamm, in Punjabi), which, preserved as a sacred relic, is believed to have been installed by the Gur&#363 himself. The gurdw&#257r&#257, entered through a small gateway opening on a narrow lane inside the village, is a hall with a high, vaulted ceiling. The sanctum, a raised platform in the middle of the room, has the Thamm S&#257hib draped in cloth in the centre with the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib seated on a p&#257lak&#299 (palanquin). The Gurdw&#257r&#257 is managed by the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak Committee through a local committee. The major annual celebration is the birthday of Gur&#363 Hargobind.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

T&#257r&#257 Si&#7749gh, Sr&#299 Gur T&#299rath Sa&#7749grahi.
