According to Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh, <i>Sikh&#257&#7749 d&#299 Bhagat M&#257l&#257</i>, Bh&#257&#299 Dhi&#7749ga&#7771, along with Bh&#257&#299 Madd&#363, a fellow worker in the craft, came to serve at the Gur&#363's feet. During the day they hewed wood for Gur&#363 k&#257 La&#7749gar, community kitchen, and made cots and other articles for use by the disciples; in the <i>d&#299v&#257n</i> they attentively listened to recitations and discourses; and early in the morning they drew water for Sikhs' ablutions. As it happened, they died the same day, with the word <i>V&#257higur&#363</i> upon their lips. Gur&#363 Hargobind attended their cremation in person.
