He, accompanied by Bh&#257&#299 &#7692&#363gar D&#257s &#7788aki&#257r, Bh&#257&#299 D&#299p&#257, Bh&#257&#299 Je&#7789h&#257, Bh&#257&#299 T&#299rath&#257, Bh&#257&#299 Sais&#257r&#363 and Bh&#257&#299 B&#363l&#257, once waited upon Gur&#363 R&#257m D&#257s to seek instruction. The Gur&#363, according to Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh, <i>Sikh&#257&#7749 d&#299 Bhagat M&#257l&#257</i>, spoke to them as follows : "Abandon pride; help the Sikh who comes to you; walk morning and evening to where the <i>sa&#7749gat</i> congregates; raise a <i>dharams&#257l&#257</i> in your village; recite <i>gurb&#257&#7751&#299</i> and be truthful in word and deed.
