<p class="C1">&#65279CUTTACK (20º- 30'N, 85º- 50'E), one of the principal towns of O&#7771&#299ss&#257, was visited by Gur&#363 N&#257nak during his travels across the country. The local chief R&#257j&#257 Prat&#257p Rudra Dev and many of his subjects received instruction at the hands of the Gur&#363. A commemorative shrine established later by Ud&#257s&#299 priests still exists near Kisht&#299 Gh&#257&#7789 on the bank of the Mah&#257nad&#299 River.</p>
