Comprising a bare three folios (306-308), it is divided into two sections. The first part (ff. 306-307) entitled "Verv&#257 Guri&#257&#299 k&#257 Likhi&#257, " lit. details recorded of the gur&#363ship, gives the duration for which each of the ten Gur&#363s occupied the holy seat, followed by a vague remark that 24 years and 3 months have elapsed since he passed away, implying thereby that the writing took place 24 years and 3 months after the death (in 1708) of the tenth and last of the Gur&#363s, Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh, which takes the date of the compilation of the manuscript to 1732. The second part, ff. 307-08, records dates of the passing away of six of the Ten Gur&#363s, Gur&#363 N&#257nak, Gur&#363 A&#7749gad Dev, Gur&#363 Hargobind, Gur&#363 Har Krishan, Gur&#363 Tegh Bah&#257dur and Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh. The author has also mentioned the day and time of Gur&#363 Tegh Bah&#257dur's execution - Thursday, about 1 p. m. The dates given are generally reliable. The manuscript concludes with the statement that Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh had passed on the office of Gur&#363 to the Kh&#257ls&#257.

Sarmukh Si&#7749gh Amole
