He brought with him one question: "Whose incarnation was Gur&#363 N&#257nak?" The Gur&#363, as says Bh&#257&#299 Santokh Si&#7749gh, <i>Sr&#299 Gur Prat&#257p S&#363raj Granth</i>, explained : "Gur&#363 N&#257nak was one with Brahman. He founded a unique faith. Discarding austerities, rituals and penances, he preached repetition of the True Name, and recommended charity, cleanliness and love.
