There is however no historical shrine there. There are very few Punjabi Sikhs in the town but a number of Sindh&#299 families, who though shaven are followers of the Sikh faith, settled here after 1947. Sikhs of Punjabi and Sindh&#299 origin have a small Pañch&#257yat&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 in Sindh&#299 Mohall&#257.</p> <p class="C1">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Notwithstanding what the chronicles say, the general belief among the Sikhs of this area is that the Gur&#363 went from Nohar to S&#257hv&#257 (Suhev&#257) by the direct shorter route through the village of S&#363rpur. This tradition is supported by Bh&#257&#299 K&#257hn Si&#7749gh, the author of <i>Gurushabad Ratn&#257kar Mah&#257n Kosh</i>.
