Bas&#257v&#257 Si&#7749gh was included in the delegation sent with letters to Bh&#257&#299 Kishan Si&#7749gh, Bh&#257&#299 Nih&#257l Si&#7749gh and Am&#299r Dost Muhammad <u>Kh</u>&#257n of K&#257bul to seek support for a fresh uprising after the defeat of the Sikhs in the second Anglo-Sikh war. He returned with a reply from the Am&#299r and re-joined Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh at Kur&#257l&#257 Kal&#257&#7749, in Hoshi&#257rpur district.
