Gurdw&#257r&#257 Chaunt&#257 S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 VII, near the confluence of two chos or seasonal streams to the northwest of the village, marks the site where the Gur&#363 had halted and sat on a platform of earthwork (chaunt&#257 in the local dialect of Punjabi). The Gurdw&#257r&#257 building, constructed during recent years, comprises a large hall with a square sanctum in the middle. The shrine is affiliated to the Shiroma&#7751&#299 Gurdw&#257r&#257 Parbandhak Committee, but is administered by Sant Harba&#7749s Si&#7749gh of &#7692umel&#299, who raised the present building. Two Sikh penants close to the gurdw&#257r&#257 mark the spots where four Babar Ak&#257l&#299s brought to bay by British police fell fighting in a prolonged encounter on 1 September 1923.

BIBLIOGRAPHY

T&#257r&#257 Si&#7749gh, Sr&#299 Gur T&#299rath Sa&#7749grahi.
