As they sought the Gur&#363's instruction he, records Bh&#257&#299 Man&#299 Si&#7749gh, <i>Sikh&#257&#7749 d&#299 Bhagat M&#257l&#257</i>, impressed upon them the virtue of humility. Both Bh&#257&#299 Badal&#299 and Bh&#257&#299 Gop&#257l embraced the precept and won renown as devout Sikhs.</p>
